Oh… the worst creatures hide in plain sight my dear. And if you do not act like one of them they’ll hunt you down. So darkness is the only refuge left where you can be free and true with yourself.

I see your point of view and I incline to agree with you in a way.
Sometimes it feels like one can express his true nature only in the dark, in complete silence and isolation. But in that darkness, I found my own light.

branches may be broken by the next storm, but the roots will remains (and that's exactly the problem: happiness is volatile and always in danger, sadness is much more stable and steadfast and durable)
